What techniques are used at Pinnacle Chiropractic?

Pinnacle Chiropractic Spine & Sports Center is devoted to providing quality, affordable and appropriate chiropractic care to the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. There are many conditions that respond favorably to our treatments. Call today to see if we can help you!

Graston Technique®

The Graston Technique® is used for treatment of scar tissue or adhesions in muscles, tendons, or ligaments. It is performed with stainless-steel instruments that apply the right amount of tension to detect scar tissue or adhesion. The instrument is then used to break up the restriction by gliding along a patient’s muscle, tendons, or ligaments. Graston Technique® decreases overall time of treatment, recovery, and reduces the need for anti-inflammatory medication. For more information visit http://www.grastontechnique.com/

Joint Manipulation

Pinnacle Chiropractic uses a variety of manipulative techniques to influence proper movement of joints and proper neurological function. Manipulative techniques are chosen based on each individual patients assessment.

ART® or Active Release Techniques®

ART® or Active Release Techniques® are used to treat injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. ART® treatments are performed by placing a hand on a specific area of tissue, then moving the area or having the patient move through a specific pattern. This treatment breaks up scar tissue and restores strength, flexibility and function to the soft tissue being treated. For more information visit http://www.artcorpsolutions.com

ART Corporate®

Pinnacle Chiropractic is part of ART’s Elite Provider Network which allows us to provide onsite treatment for employees of various companies. The corporate care program is very effective for helping companies reduce their workers compensation costs and improve employee production. Rehabilitative Exercise

The reinforcement of proper movement patterns is essential to the recovery process. We incorporate the latest and proven most effective types of rehabilitative exercise most appropriate to an individual’s needs. The proper type of exercise implemented at the right time will help to maximize function and prevent the return of symptoms.

The McKenzie Method®

The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®(MDT) is a reliable assessment process intended for all musculoskeletal problems, including pain in the back, neck, and extremities(i.e., shoulder, knee, ankle, etc.), as well as issues associated with sciatica, sacroiliac joint pain, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, muscle spasms, and intermittent numbness in hands or feet. If you are suffering from any such issues, then a MDT assessment may be right for you!  For more information visit http://mckenzieinstituteusa.org

Kinesio Taping®
